Sycamore School celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, and things just keep getting better.
This summer, Sycamore School completed a $4 million building renovation, adding new spaces dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and technology instruction.
New spaces include:
- The Bhatia Family Technology Lab, designed to facilitate the collaborative work of students and teachers.
- The Innovation Lab, where students imagine, explore, and invent, turning their dreams into reality.
- The Guenthner Family Entrance welcomes everyone into the school with a two-story, light-filled entrance.
- The Quest Room provides a comfortable, home-like space for children needing before and/or after school care, where they can relaz, socialze and get their school work done.
- Staff offices and parent gathering spaces to encourage collaboration and communication among staff, parents, and students.
This past fall, two spaces were added to the footprint of the school:
- The Hagerman Family Middle School Commons, whre students can kcik back, read quietly, socialize or problem-solve today's math challenge.
- The Scott A. Jones Family Board Room, where meetings cn take place in a tranquil, beautiful environment.
These spaces have been built with the generous donations of the Sycamore community. We thank the Hagerman Group for the construction efforts that started the day after Sycamore's graduation, and continued every day this summer, finishing in time for the opening of school.

The Innovation Lab is designed to encourage imagination and invention in our students from 3 years old through Eighth Grade. It is a place for creativity to blossom and big dreams to be realized. Adjacent to the lab are new spaces for technology instruction and consultation. The Bhatia Family Technology Lab will allow our entire school population to have the latest technology and resources for creating, designing and collaborating at their fingertips.
The generosity of Sycamore parents and friends has been the catalyst that is helping us realize our vision to nurture innovation in our students, enabling them turn their ideas and dreams into reality. We are excited to add the new spaces to our facility, supporting our mission and our curriculum.
