Kindergarten students at Sycamore School are collecting food and personal items from November 14-18 to stock their local pantry. In class, they have been learning about how the Wampanoag people helped their “new neighbors” survive in the New World almost 400 years ago.
They also read the book The Can-Do Thanksgiving featuring a young girl whose class helps feed needy people for the holiday. Now the kindergarten students would like to help the people in their own neighborhood in the same way! They will be collecting food and personal items beginning Monday, November 14. On the following Monday the students will be traveling to the Crooked Creek.
