Sycamore School hosted the Central Indiana Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition on Friday, February 17. MATHCOUNTS is the most popular nationwide middle school math competition and the Chapter is the first of three levels. Students and teams performing well at the Chapter Competition are invited to participate in the State MATHCOUNTS Competition which will be held at Purdue University on March 12th.
As a team, Sycamore had a great day. Of the 193 competitors, all 10 Sycamore students finished in the top 60 individually, the final state cut-offs have not been announced, but at least 7 of the students will continue on to the state competition.
