Five Sycamore Students Earn Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards

Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards

The Scholastic ​Arts and Writing awards have been announced and Sycamore had five students win awards! 

In 2017, students submitted more than 330,000 works of writing and art. Local winners will be celebrated at Butler University in the spring, and Gold Key winners go on to compete in the national contest.

The following students won awards:

Maggie Boncosky won a Gold Key for her short story "The Tale of Rebel Ranch" 
Henley Lynch won a Gold Key in art.
Bridget Bodey won a Silver Key for her novel Alaria. 
Jessie Godfrey won a Silver Key for her poem "If Only, Mr. Synesthesia"
Olivia Hege won Honorable Mention for her poem "Summer Thoughts"
