Megan France, a Sycamore School 6th grader, has been chosen as a Finalist at this year's Symphony in Color Competition. Congratulations also to Nate Liang, grade 5, and Sophie Liang, grade 4, who each received an Honorable Mention.
All three works will be exhibited at the State Museum from April 2 to May 4. It is estimated that over 11,000 students across the state participated in the art contest, which is sponsored by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Association.
Symphony in Color is an annual enrichment program of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Associationwhich offers a unique blending of symphonic music and visual arts. Involving more than 30,000 Indiana school children in grades 1-6, Symphony in Color culminates in a juried exhibition at the Hilbert Circle Theatre and the Indiana State Museum.
