The 5th grade boys team had a great day on Saturday at Heritage Christian by sweeping the Excellence, Teamwork, and Skills Awards., and the 6-8 grade scores were good enough to get them to the elite level: All 7 CyberEAGLE teams next compete in State Finals on Saturday, March 9 in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. In addition they scored an amazing 33 in the finals with our friends from Cold Spring School. Team members include: Rishi Nagireddy, Arnay Garhyan, Brandon Clague, Owen Zhang, Garrett Hur, Ben Wei, and Mukund Sagi. In addition, challenging them all day long, the 5th grade girls team finished 2nd in Teamwork and Skills. Team members included: Sophie Liang, Sarah Hinchman, Hasini Ambaty, Kavya Devarapalli, and Annamaria Ebersole. The teams end the regular season in 3rd and 8th out of 900+ teams in their division in Indiana.
At the most competitive field of any tournament in the state this year (56 teams including 11 of the top 15 in the state middle school rankings), the Grades 6-8 CyberEAGLE teams performed strong and showed significant improvement.
SYCAMORE RESULTS 10775A (Alyssa Effland, Alissa Weigand, Josh Irizarry, Isabel Hargrove, and Owen Williams) finished in a 5th place tie in teamwork. 4th in Skills, and a 4th place tie in Programming.
10775B (Mary Cudworth, Kate Weigand, Oliver Seifert, Cooper Grabow, and Erik Haggstrom): 2nd in Teamwork, 8th in Skills, and 8th in Programming.
10775C (Aarish Sakib, Avi Maun, and Jason Shaye) finished in a 5th place tie in Teamwork, 3rd in Skills, and 3rd in Programming.
10775D (Sruthi Devarapalli, Neela Gussick, and Anastasia Ebersole) finished 8th in teamwork and 12th in Skills.
10775E (Jake Lee, Sam Irizarry, and Jack Fultz) claimed 5th in Skills and a tie for 4th in Programming.
Both 10775B and C finish the regular season inside the top 25 of the World Skills Standings.
