Extended Care FAQ

 Summer Camp Extended Care is an option for Sycamore families, providing full-day supervision & care for those children participating in a Sycamore summer camp. While it is similar to Quest, it is more structured with weekly themes, activities and projects. 

Summer Camp Extended Care is open to any current Sycamore family, and their siblings, who have registered for a Sycamore summer camp during the same week. Extended care is not available for non-Sycamore students. 

Summer Camp Extended Care is available to non-Sycamore families when their child is registered for both an AM and a PM camp during the same week -or - a full day camp. Registration for Extended Care is not done separately in these instances, but rather included as part of AM/PM camp registration -or - full day camp.

Students must be enrolled in a Sycamore summer camp, the same week they attend Summer Camp Extended Care. 

Summer Camp Extended Care opens at 7:30am and closes at 5pm. 

Yes, snacks will be provided during Summer Camp Extended Care. 

No, lunch is not provided. All students must pack a lunch from home. 

No, only students who are registered for a Sycamore summer camp can participate in Summer Camp Extended Care. 

Yes, in fact all students, both Sycamore and non-Sycamore students, who are registered for both AM and PM Sycamore summer camps in the same week -or- a full day camp will be able to participate in Summer Camp Extended Care at no cost. You DO NOT need to register for Extended Care if your child is enrolled in both an AM and PM camp -or - full day camp in the same week. Extended Care will be automatically included at no additional cost. 

Drop-off & Pick-up for Summer Camp Extended Care will be through the Sycamore school main entrance. 

Summer Camp Extended Care starts at 7:30am and closes at 5:00pm. 

Parents must walk their child to the designated Summer Camp Extended Care area for drop-off.

○ 7:30-8:30 = All students to the main Quest room 

○ 8:30-5:00 = EC students to the LS music room / 1st & 2nd grade to the main Quest room / 3rd through MS to the Innovation Lab 

All students must be picked up no later than 5pm (please note the earlier pick-up time). Sycamore’s normal $5/minute fee will be applied to families who arrive after 5pm to pick-up their child.
